ELIGIBILITY: The Lottery is open to members of the public, excluding members of the Board of Directors, those associated directly with the Raffle, and their immediate families and any other person residing in the same household. Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.
HOW TO ENTER: Tickets must be purchased in person. Required information must be filled in by the purchaser and the ticket deposited into the box. Tickets must have purchaser’s name, telephone number and email on the ticket and be deposited into the designated boxes before 3:40pm on September 22, 2024.
DRAWS: Prize draws will begin at 3:45pm on September 22, 2024, following the Drag Storytime Event at Yarmouth County Museum and Archives, and will continue until all prizes have been drawn, with a minimum of three (3) members of Southwest Nova Pride Association present as witnesses. The winning ticket numbers and winners’ names will be posted online on the Southwest Nova Pride Association (SWNPA) Facebook page and SWNPA website following the draw, and winners will be contacted by phone immediately following the draw.
The order of draws for the three prizes are (1) quilt; (2) embroidered tool roll; (3) autographed copy of Under the Rainbow book.
PRIZES: Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the draw at a location of mutual convenience within the Yarmouth area. If the selected winner does not claim the prize within 30 days of the draw, SWNPA will retain ownership of the prize. Winners will be contacted via phone call on the day of the draw with email to follow, with follow-up emails and calls for three subsequent days if there is no response. Winners must provide a first name, last name, and matching ID upon claiming the prize.
LICENCE: The SWNPA Pride Raffle is licensed by Service Nova Scotia, permit number AGD-344286-24.
PRIZES NON-REFUNDABLE: The Raffle prizes must be accepted as awarded, have no cash equivalent, and are not transferable or refundable. Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the draw date. No substitutions are permitted by winners. Costs incurred in picking up the prize awarded are borne by the winner.
ENTRIES: All entries become the property of the SWNPA and no entries will be returned.
PUBLICITY: By purchasing a ticket, entrants consent to the release of their names by the licensee in the case that they win a prize. Photos will be at the discretion of the winner.
TICKETS: Only 2,500 tickets will be for sale during the raffle period. Ticket prices are one (1) ticket for $2.00 or three (3) tickets for $5.00. Each ticket is eligible for the prize draw, if purchased by the deadline stated and according to the rules. Any individual ticket can only win once (one ticket, one prize). Prizes will be drawn in the order specified; prize-winning tickets will not be eligible for subsequent prize draws. Chances are 1 in 2,500 to win a prize; actual odds depend on the number of tickets sold. Raffle tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Raffle tickets are not eligible for tax receipts.
CUTOFF TIMES AND DATES: Ticket sales will cease by 3:40pm September 22, 2024.
