Following the lead of Halifax Pride, Southwest Nova Pride Association acknowledges the colonial overtones of the concept of a ‘mission’: we choose, instead, to articulate our aims and values as a non-profit organisation committed to equity.
Our aim is to advocate on behalf of and to support the needs of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions (2SLGBTQIA+), and of the people in their lives, to help improve the social, mental, and physical health and well-being of such people within the Tri-Counties (Yarmouth, Digby, and Shelburne Counties) area of southwest Nova Scotia.
