Southwest Nova Pride Association is incorporated as a non-profit society in Nova Scotia. We serve the Tri-Counties area (Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby Counties) of Nova Scotia.
Objectives
On a volunteer and nonprofit basis, the objectives of the Southwest Nova Pride Association are:
- Provide supports that respond to the needs of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, and of the people in their lives, to help improve the social, mental, and physical health and well-being of such people;
- Advocate on behalf of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, to members of the public and elected officials;
- To do work in community education and public relations to ensure a better understanding of the needs of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.
